The challenge

Before engaging us, Give A Grad A Go exclusively offered managed recruitment solutions. They recognised that to achieve their growth targets, they needed to create a self-service recruitment offering. This would enable them to scale the business independently of their team size and access a new part of the recruitment market.

To achieve their vision, they challenged us to design and build a custom recruitment portal that could be used by employers to independently advertise and manage job vacancies, and by candidates to apply for positions.

Alongside the new jobs portal, we delivered a fresh new brand and website for the business.

A portal for Employers and Candidates

Give A Grad A Go’s new jobs portal needed to be used by both employers and candidates, offering a self-service recruitment solution to their employers.

The new portal enables employers to post a job and manage applications without assistance, handing everything from sign up through to payments.

Our process

Our UX design team created the user flows for the platform, making the user experience as intuitive and engaging as possible. Once the structure of the recruitment portal was established, we used the new brand guidelines from Plug & Play to create the UI for the portal.

After the designs were finalised, we developed the platform in Laravel to provide a flexible base for future development.

Manage candidates screen

Split screen

We created a split screen view, enabling candidates to review job specs without leaving their search page.

Jobs portal

A portal for employers

We created an employer area within the portal, enabling employers to post and manage their own job adverts and applicants.

A seamless experience

We delivered a seamless connection between the website and jobs portal, transitioning candidates from the sign up flow into the application process.

The website and brand

Give A Grad A Go’s website and brand had become dated and no longer reflected the business. They challenged us to produce a fresh look and feel that appealed to their target audience and would help them stand out in a saturated recruitment market.

The brand needed to provide the Give A Grad marketing team with plenty of flexibility and scope for growth, while also being manageable.

“We’ve had a brilliant experience working with Plug & Play — I wouldn’t have trusted this project to any other of the agencies we initially spoke to.”
